Storm Team 3: Scattered showers, isolated storms Wednesday, drier late-week

SAVANNAH, Ga. (WSAV) — Tuesday was mainly cloudy and cool with scattered light showers. More are possible on and off throughout the night and into Wednesday.

High temperatures only warmed into the lower to middle 70s. A strong and gusty breeze made conditions feel cooler during the afternoon.

A stationary boundary that has been located just to our south has been directing some Gulf moisture into the southeastern U.S. throughout Tuesday. Most rainfall on Tuesday did not amount to much, with most locations getting less than a quarter of an inch.

Scattered showers will remain overnight with most rainfall being very light. Totals again will be very minimal.

Wednesday morning will start with low temperatures in the 50s to lower 60s with some showers already developing.

Scattered showers and isolated storms are expected to develop on and off during the late morning and into the afternoon. There may be just enough energy for a few isolated storms because afternoon highs should warm into the upper 70s to lower 80s…
