Disciplinary records released for fired Phoenix officers charged in violent traffic stop

PHOENIX (AZFamily) — The City of Phoenix has released the previous disciplinary records of two fired police officers accused in a traffic stop that turned violent, and is now reviewing whether the misconduct points to broader problems within their squad and precinct.

Former officers Antonio Felix and Luis Vasquez were arrested on several charges, including kidnapping and aggravated assault, stemming from an off-the-books traffic stop on Aug. 5.

The city announced that the department’s Organizational Integrity Bureau and Professional Standards Bureau have launched an audit to review the former officers’ reports, body-worn camera footage, previous calls for service and community interactions…
