Edmonds ferry riders encounter tricky return from Kingston

Washington State Ferries has a new boarding process in Kingston, and it’s throwing regular ferry riders for a loop.

Drivers boarding at Kingston must now stop at a kiosk and get a pass after they enter the ticket line.

Failure to get a pass means passengers must leave the line, return to the kiosk, located a mile-and-a-half away, and then get in the back of the line.
