Kitsap County Homeowner Wakes Up to a Nightmare After Vehicle Destroys Their Gas Meter

A vehicle left the roadway Thursday morning and crashed into a home on the 4600 block of NW Knute Anderson Road in Kitsap County, Washington. The impact damaged the natural gas meter before the car finally came to a stop in the backyard.

Central Kitsap Fire & Rescue crews were dispatched at around 9:05 a.m. People were inside the home when it happened. None of them were hurt.

The driver was taken to St. Michael Medical Center with minor injuries.

Firefighters arrived and immediately worked to secure the damaged gas meter and contain the hazard. Cascade Natural Gas and Puget Sound Energy both responded to assist…
