Seattle on Edge as Search Intensifies for Inmate Who Fled Monroe Correctional Complex

As tensions mount, the Washington State Department of Corrections intensifies its hunt for the inmate who executed a brazen escape from Monroe Correctional Complex last Friday. 59-year-old Patrick Lester Clay is on the lam and believed to be hiding out in Seattle’s Central District, an area familiar to him due to family ties. A white GMC Sierra truck, the vehicle Clay allegedly stole to make his getaway, was recovered in that very district; however, the convict has yet to be found. FOX 13 Seattle reported on the mounting concern among Monroe residents in the wake of the escape.
