Texas man gets 10 years for violent Seattle-area ATM robberies, assaults on technicians

SEATTLE — A 24-year-old Texas man who admitted taking part in a string of violent ATM-related bank robberies across the country was sentenced in Seattle to 10 years in federal prison.

Seth Coles-Body, of Houston, was sentenced on Tuesday in the U.S. District Court in Seattle after pleading guilty in February 2026 to four counts of bank robbery and two counts of attempted bank robbery.

Prosecutors said Coles-Body and an accomplice disabled ATMs, then ambushed repair technicians who arrived to fix the machines, using threats and assaults to steal cash containers known as cassettes…
