Pioneer Square alliance calls for city leaders to take action after shooting injures woman

SEATTLE — A 26-year-old woman was hospitalized in critical condition after a shooting reported early Sunday near Occidental Avenue South and South Jackson Street.

Officers were dispatched at about 1:30 a.m. to reports of a shooting in the area. Police arrived and found the woman alert and conscious, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds to her torso.

Officers provided aid until Seattle Fire Department crews arrived. The woman was then transported to Harborview Medical Center in critical condition…
