SEATTLE — Seattle Public Schools will implement a new districtwide cellphone policy beginning May 4, restricting student access to personal devices during the school day.
Under the new guidelines, students in kindergarten through eighth grade will be required to keep phones turned off and stored away for the entire school day. High school students will not be allowed to use phones during instructional time, but may access them during lunch and passing periods, according to SPS.
