SEATTLE — Costco may be known for bulk bargains, but its Kirkland Signature wine collection has earned a loyal following — including wine educator Hailey Bohlman of Cork and Fizz.
“I kind of avoided it for a while and then finally got a membership, and I don’t know what I was avoiding,” she said. “They have such a slim markup because of the membership, and Costco cuts out the middleman. So they’re their own importer and distributor. So that’s why you see low prices on all of the Kirkland Signature wines.”

“Whenever I think fried, I think sparkling,” Bohlman said. “You’ve got the salty fried kind of flavor going on and then the nice refreshing bubbles.”…
