MINDEN, La. (KTAL/KMSS) – Geaux Fresh Bistro & Bakery now has $20,000 for upgrades thanks to the Amex Shop Small® Grant from American Express and Main Street America. Geaux Fresh is one of 10 recipients in Louisiana.
Geaux Fresh Bistro & Bakery owner Jodie Martin says the money will be used to expand production and improve safety at the restaurant located at 801 Broadway Street in downtown Minden. Martin said the project will include new carpeting, wrought iron handrail, and additional commercial kitchen equipment.
“This project is about more than growth,” said Martin. “It’s about creating a safer, more functional, and more welcoming space for our customers while continuing to invest in the community that supports us. We are incredibly grateful for this opportunity and honored to represent Minden on a national level.”
