SHREVEPORT, La. (KSLA) – Shreveport’s Department of Water & Sewerage is set to host a ribbon cutting ceremony Thursday, June 4 to celebrate the completion of the rehab project on the west elevated water tank.
The ribbon cutting will be held at 10 a.m. at the site of the water tower (6901 Rice Rd.). This ribbon cutting marks a major milestone in the city’s ongoing efforts to modernize and improve water infrastructure in the community.
The rehab project for the west tower included improvements to the elevated tank, including structural steel repairs, interior and exterior sandblasting and painting, and electrical upgrades. The tank also got a new custom paint job with a design that reflects the character of the city.
