When heavy rains struck Shreveport mid-day Monday, first responders spread out rescuing stranded motorists, including in several spots along Youree Drive.
Christie Waldrop, who lives in the 300 block of Pennsylvania Avenue in the Broadmoor neighborhood that straddles Youree, saw that and more in front of her house.
“My husband and I looked out our window and saw our trash can floating down Pennsylvania,” she said. She watched Shreveport firefighters help two people get out of flooded cars in the street. “Two cars are still out in front of our house.”…
