BPCC training grant works to lessen the shortage of RNs in northwest Louisiana

The latest numbers from the Louisiana Board of Nursing show that there are nearly 67,000 licensed Registered Nurses in the state; roughly 57,000 of them are employed.

That’s not enough, says a 2022 Louisiana Board of Regents report, which anticipates that by 2030, the state will have a shortfall of some 6,000 RNs.
