SHREVEPORT, La. — KTBS’s Patrick Dennis got a preview of a community celebration hosted by SporTran aimed at encouraging residents to “break up with the gas pump” and explore public transportation options.
The free event will take place from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Friday at the SporTran terminal and will feature live entertainment, community resources, voter registration, local vendors, food, and a backpack giveaway for elementary and middle school students. Visitors will also have the opportunity to learn more about SporTran’s services, including its fare-free bus system.
