If LA 3132 in Shreveport is part of your normal drive, you are well aware of the occasional traffic inconveniences we’ve seen with this heavily traveled route over the past year, and we’ll soon see another wrinkle with the ongoing project.

Back in April of 2025, the Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development announced the start of a $6.8 million project to replace the roadway signage along LA 3132, and since that point we’ve seen a number of times when traffic was hindered while crews were completing various stages of the project.
And now, according to the latest notice from the DOTD, we’re in for another couple weeks of those inconvenient periods. In this notice, DOTD advises that beginning Monday, August 17, there will be intermittent lane closures on LA 3132 in both directions at the LA 511 (70th Street) and US 171 (Mansfield Rd) interchanges in Shreveport.
These lane closures are scheduled to take place daily until Friday, August 28, and are necessary to replace overhead and other signage and components along LA 3132.
Of course, this work will be done “Weather Permitting” so inclement weather could delay/extend or alter in other ways, the scheduled work day/hours…
