SHREVEPORT, La. — Three Shreveport men have been sentenced to between six and 15 years in federal prison in separate firearms and drug cases, according to the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Western District of Louisiana.
The cases involved illegal firearm possession, marijuana distribution and firearms connected to drug trafficking. The U.S. Attorney’s Office said the prosecutions are part of the Department of Justice’s Project Safe Neighborhoods initiative.
“The U.S. Attorney’s Office is committed to working alongside our federal and state partners in the Shreveport and Bossier area to get violent criminals and drug traffickers off our streets, and these three significant sentences reflect the fruits of those efforts,” said U.S. Attorney Zachary A. Keller. “Our office looks forward to continuing that work in Shreveport and Bossier to make those communities safer places.”
