SHREVEPORT, La. (KTAL/KMSS)- Moms on a Mission is a nonprofit that supports mothers who have lost a child to gun violence, and they support senior citizens.
The founder of Moms on a Mission, Martha Taylor, lost two partners to gun violence, and she said she not only felt the effects of the losses but so did family members. She wanted to redirect her pain into helping others.
The organization hosts community events as well as support groups, and according to Taylor, although the mission is to support mothers, they are seeing more fathers and siblings of those who have lost their lives to guns…
