Drilling begins as former Shreveport Country Club sale moves ahead

A new APEX drill rig has sprouted from land that used to be the Shreveport Country Club. A new road has been paved off South Lakeshore Drive for work trucks and crews but the best view of the rig is from the former main entrance on Esplanade.

According to information provided to the Louisiana Office of Conservation, APEX intends to drill and send lateral lines north under Cross Lake to just beyond Interstate 220.
