In an alert from the Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development, we learn that crews will be performing cleaning operations on the I-20 westbound on-ramp from Traffic Street in Bossier City, and due to this operation, the ramp will need to be closed to all traffic from 6:00 am to 12:00 pm, this Saturday only, September 19, 2026.
This Operation Will Require The Full Closure of the Traffic St. On-Ramp to I-20 West
DOTD writes that the closure is necessary to allow DOTD maintenance personnel to remove debris and vegetation from the on-ramp, creating a cleaner roadway for motorists. This work will be done weather permitting, so inclement weather could delay, extend, or alter in other ways, the scheduled work day/hours.
During this closure, all vehicles will need to utilize an alternate route.
