SHREVEPORT, La. (KTAL/KMSS) – The Northwest Louisiana Master Gardeners will host their annual Bulb Sale on Saturday, Oct. 31, from 8 a.m. to noon. The event will feature a wide selection of flowering bulbs along with educational opportunities for gardeners of all experience levels.
The sale is first-come, first-served, and organizers advise shoppers to arrive early because popular plant varieties sell out quickly. Fundraiser proceeds support local gardening initiatives and community grants.
Master Gardener Lynn Burke said the event will feature six educational stations. The stations will cover bulb bloom times, garden design, indoor bulb forcing, and “lasagna planting,” a technique that layers bulbs at different depths to extend the blooming season.
Families are also invited to attend the Halloween-themed event. Children will have the opportunity to select, plant, and take home a bulb of their own…
