Fire burns house on Dupont Street; it’s 2nd fire in about 5 hours in Shreveport

SHREVEPORT, La. (KSLA) – Residents of a Shreveport home got out safely when fire broke out during the lunch hour Sunday (Sept. 15), the Shreveport Fire Department reports. It was 12:14 p.m. when Shreveport firefighters were sent to the 2500 block of Dupont Street. Engine 8 arrived within three minutes and confirmed that smoke and flames were visible from the front of the house.
