SHREVEPORT, La. (KTAL/KMSS) – Shreveport Airport Authority will receive a portion of $14.9 million for improvements.
The funding is part of the Infrastructure and Jobs Act and will support terminal upgrades and other improvements to enhance passenger safety, travel experience, and operational efficiency across Louisiana.
“Louisiana’s airports welcome visitors, move goods, and support jobs,” said Dr. Cassidy. “These investments improve safety and efficiency today but also make sure our airports keep up with the demands of the future.”

Shreveport Airport Authority will receive two grants: the first, $4.2 million, will be used to reconstruct 8,882 square feet of the existing terminal, including the Federal Inspection Station. The second is a $325K grant to fund the reconstruction of 5,750 square yards of the Northwestern Apron pavement, which is essentially the area where planes are parked for loading and unloading.
