BOSSIER CITY, La. (KTAL/KMSS) – For 21 years, Sgt. Shawn Poudrier has served the Bossier City Police Department working through many positions like detectives, narcotics and patrol. His newest role as Police Information Officer may be his favorite.
“Being out in the community,” Poudrier said. I love it, I love getting out talking to the kids. I love talking to people. I meet people everyday, and putting that information out faster for you guys. Just so everyone’s informed.”
Poudrier, a father of three, serves as the bridge between the department and the public. He coordinates press releases, sets up media interviews and makes sure information reaches the community.
“Shawn is an experienced police officer,” Bossier City Police Deputy Chief Joel Frentress said. He’s a member of the community and a family man. He loves Bossier City and he loves the police department. He’s been a valuable asset.”…
