BENTON, La. (KSLA) – The Bossier Parish Sheriff’s Office held a ribbon cutting Friday (May 8) to celebrate the opening of its new criminal operations building in Benton.
Sheriff Julian Whittington said the facility will serve as a central hub for the department’s criminal division, bringing detectives, patrol, CSI, and digital forensics into one location with upgraded equipment.
“We’re real excited today to open up this new building… all those folks now are under one roof,” Whittington said.
The department previously operated out of an older building originally built in 1982, which Whittington said no longer met the needs of modern criminal investigations…
