Tornado Watch Issued For Parts Of Maryland As Dangerous Storms Move In

Parts of Maryland are under a Tornado Watch Saturday afternoon as forecasters warn a volatile mix of dangerous heat, powerful thunderstorms, flash flooding, and the potential for tornadoes could sweep across the region before the day is over.

The National Weather Service issued the watch for central and northeastern Maryland until 9 p.m., covering Anne Arundel, Baltimore, Calvert, Caroline, Carroll, Cecil, Frederick, Harford, Howard, Kent, Montgomery, Prince George’s, Queen Anne’s, Talbot, and Baltimore City.
