BALTIMORE, Md. — A man’s physical fitness and profile photos may no longer be the primary factors driving online dating success in Maryland. According to a new survey of single women, a positive digital footprint has become a major romantic asset, with professional accomplishments like speaking at a conference ranking as more attractive than traditional metrics like having six-pack abs.
The study, commissioned by the digital management firm ReputationPros.com and conducted by Cherry Data Signals, surveyed 3,002 single women who describe themselves as picky daters with high standards. The findings suggest that online due diligence has evolved beyond simply verifying that a person exists to looking for specific, status-driven digital signals.
