ALEXANDRIA, Va. — Police are investigating after a woman was stabbed in Alexandria early Wednesday morning. The woman is receiving treatment at an area hospital and is in stable condition, according to a department spokesperson.
Detectives are working to learn what led up to the violence. A suspect is in custody and there is no threat to the community, according to Alexandria Police spokesperson Tracy Walker.
Officers were called to the 4800 block of Braddock Road, near Green Spring Gardens Lake, around 4 a.m. for a report of a stabbing. Once there, officers found a woman stabbed.
