WASHINGTON (DC News Now) — A homicide investigation is underway in the District after police said a Saturday night shooting left a man dead in Southeast.
According to the Metropolitan Police Department, officers found the man with a gunshot wound after responding to the 1200 block of Valley Avenue SE for gunfire heard in the area around 9:45 p.m. This is where the Wheeler Terrace Apartments are located.
Medics pronounced the man dead at the scene.
