Montgomery County, Maryland, police are dealing with a serious auto theft problem. Statistics shared by the police department indicate car thefts are up 22% over last year.
As of July 28, 1,569 vehicles were stolen. If that pace continues, the county will far outpace last year’s total of 2,262.
