In the 3rd District, which includes Silver Spring, an auto theft was reported in the 1100 block of Hilltop Rd. Police said a vehicle was taken sometime between 1am Sunday and 2pm Monday. At approximately 10:30am Monday, a business in the 3900 block of National Dr was burglarized. One person was arrested.
In the 4th District, which includes Wheaton, Glenmont, Aspen Hill and Olney, property and a vehicle were taken from a home in the 600 block of Firestone Dr between 3am and 7:38am Monday. At approximately 4:35pm, officers recovered a loaded handgun and arrested one person in the 11100 block of Veirs Mill Rd. Police also reported that a driver struck a vehicle near Bucknell Dr and Blueridge Ave at approximately 10:10pm before driving away while a person was holding onto the vehicle’s door…
