Nordstrom Rack has set an opening date for its upcoming location at Congressional Plaza in Rockville. According to signage now posted at the store, the new Nordstrom Rack will open Thursday, October 29 at 1683 Rockville Pike. The 26,000 SF store is taking over the former Buy Buy Baby space at the shopping center.
Federal Realty first announced the addition of Nordstrom Rack in November, with the retailer originally targeting a fall 2026 opening. As we reported in May, a permit valued at approximately $2.4 million was approved for interior alterations to the space, allowing construction to move forward on the new store. The opening date was previously reported by Store Reporter.
