Noyes Library for Young Children in Kensington temporarily closes at 5 p.m. May 21 to begin renovations. The library on Carroll Place is expected to reopen in the fall of 2027.
A groundbreaking ceremony for the new work will take place Saturday at 10 a.m.
“Noyes has always been a special place for young children and their families,” said County Executive Marc Elrich. “But the building hasn’t kept up with what people need today. If we want early learning spaces to work for everyone, they have to be accessible, functional, and able to support the kind of programming our libraries are known for.”…
