WASHINGTON — Residents in Deanwood say the closure of a neighborhood 7-Eleven has left many without a nearby option for groceries, coffee and basic necessities in a community already facing limited retail access.
The convenience store on Nannie Helen Burroughs Avenue Northeast closed last week as part of a nationwide plan by 7-Eleven’s parent company to shutter hundreds of underperforming locations by February 2027.
