SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO) – Father’s Day weekend is upon us, and often a popular activity for the summer holiday is fishing. In this Your Money Matters, we stop by a local shop run by a father and son helping people get ready for a weekend on the lake.
Dakota Angler is often busy on Friday afternoons, but ahead of Father’s Day weekend, you’ll sometimes find more kids coming in to shop for or with dad.
“I think we’ll see business pick up on Father’s Day itself, but we’ve already seen a few daughters bring in their fathers, taking them out for a fishing trip,” owner Todd Heitkamp said. “So, yeah, this time of year it gets kind of a little bit nostalgic for a lot of people.”
