SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO) — A surprise for outgoing Mayor Paul Tenhaken on Monday afternoon, compliments of the people who work for him. While the mayor was at Keloland Studios for an interview, a group of city employees was waiting for him to come back. They invited us to be a part of the moment.
City employees had gathered in the media room at City Hall. The mayor thought he was going to give an award; instead, his employees were there to give him one. When he walked through the door, dozens of people he had honored over his two terms in office all began clapping.
