Good Samaritan highlights rural access, safety gains in 2025 report

RAPID CITY, S.D. (KOTA) – Good Samaritan says expanding rural health care access, improving resident safety and supporting its workforce were among the key accomplishments highlighted in its 2025 Quality Report.

The nonprofit senior care provider, which serves communities across the Midwest, said more than 70% of its residents live in rural areas, making access to local care a top priority.

Among the report’s highlights was the expansion of Sanford Health virtual care services to 27 Good Samaritan skilled nursing and assisted living facilities in South Dakota.
