Rapid City Women’s Prison to begin operations

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO) — The doors to the new women’s prison in Rapid City will open soon.

Governor Larry Rhoden will cut the ribbon on the brand-new Rapid City Correctional Facility on Friday morning, which will use a therapeutic community model for substance use disorder treatment and will feature a business entrepreneurship program. A mother-infant program will also be implemented.
