I am no fan of the cold weather months, especially in a state like South Dakota.

If you thought Sioux Falls was done with things that sting once winter packed up, think again. Sure, South Dakota’s brutally cold months may test your patience and sanity, but at least they give us a temporary break from the buzzing, biting, winged things that like to sting once spring arrives.

Now that April is here, many Sioux Falls residents are already noticing a familiar and unwelcome sign of the season: wasps are back… and they didn’t ease into it. Around this time of year, wasps and bees begin emerging from winter hibernation and immediately get to work building nests.
