SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO) — A Sioux Falls man was arrested for aggravated assault on an EMS employee Saturday morning.

Around 9 a.m. Saturday, officers and EMS were dispatched to a business near East Arrowhead Parkway and South Foss Avenue for a man having a medical event. EMS employees were trying to help the man, but he had taken out a knife and threatened them with it before he ran away, Sioux Falls Police Sgt Aaron Benson said at Monday’s briefing.
Officers found the man and placed him under arrest. Spencer Thomas, 24 of Sioux Falls, was arrested for aggravated assault on ambulance personnel, possession of a controlled substance and possession of controlled paraphernalia.
EMS employees reported that they found Thomas behind a business in the area and they tried to help him out. Thomas took off running and EMS employees were trying to locate him in the area…
