STC students working hard to get your garden started

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO) —It takes some people years to master their gardens, but that’s not the case for these horticulture students at Southeast Technical College. They’ve spent the last two years learning about plants in class.

“We learn a little bit about everything from fruits and vegetables to perennials, annuals to trees, to taking care of them, what goes into them,” second year horticulture student, Ashton Allyn said.

Not only do they learn by reading, they learn by doing. All year long they prepare for spring planting…
