LIBERTY LAKE–Pomeroy Junior Vinny Vecchio, as well as the Pirate team of Vecchio, Grayson Slaybaugh and Cayle Mullins, finished in third place at the Washington Class 1B Boys State Golf Tournament at Meadowood Golf Course here May 19-20.
Vecchio came in third place with a two-day total of 161, behind defending champion Jake Warwick of DeSales with 149, and Austin Stephens of Riverside Christian of Yakima.
