Spokane, Wash. — The City of Spokane says two road projects starting Monday, June 8, are expected to cause major delays for north-south travel, including a full closure of the Maple Street Bridge and lane restrictions on Greene Street.
The city is urging drivers to plan ahead, allow extra time and watch for changing traffic patterns. It also asks people to slow down in work zones and support nearby businesses during construction.
On Maple Street and Walnut Street, lane reductions between Fourth Avenue and the Maple Street Bridge are set to begin June 8. The city says the Maple Street Bridge will close in both directions starting June 11 through Thursday, June 25, as crews resurfaced the corridor.
