Two Washington Women Arrested After Deputies Seize 1.5 Pounds of Meth in Post Falls

POST FALLS, ID — Two Washington women were arrested early Monday morning after Kootenai County Sheriff’s deputies allegedly discovered approximately 1.5 pounds of methamphetamine during a vehicle search at a Post Falls gas station.

According to the Kootenai County Sheriff’s Office, a deputy made contact with occupants of a vehicle parked at a gas station in the 5200 block of West Riverbend Avenue at about 2 a.m. on June 8. During what authorities described as a consensual contact, deputies observed suspected illegal drugs and drug paraphernalia in plain view.

Based on probable cause, deputies searched the vehicle and reported finding methamphetamine and marijuana in several areas. Investigators also located a bag labeled “Smelly Proof” containing multiple plastic bags filled with approximately 1.5 pounds of methamphetamine…
