Driver charged with vehicular homicide after striking pedestrian in Spokane

SPOKANE, Wash. – A woman was arrested early Wednesday morning after striking a pedestrian with her car and causing what turned out to be fatal injuries, according to the Spokane County Sheriff’s Office (SCSO).

Deputies first responded around 1 a.m., after being notified of a “serious injury auto-pedestrian collision,” on West Price Avenue near North Division Street.

The woman who reported the incident was identified as Kaylee M. Peters, 40, the driver involved in the collision, who struck a pedestrian while driving east on Price Avenue in a Toyota Camry…
