NINE MILE FALLS, Wash. — A large American flag display has flown in one Nine Mile Falls neighborhood every Independence Day for 24 years. Pete Joplin, a retired Army major, is the man behind the tradition.
The banner, a 30 by 20 foot Garrison Flag, flies on the 9200 block of Ellenwood Ct. It will be on display until 1 p.m. on July 7.
