Hundreds of Spokane families have lost their homes to the wildfires that began on that wind-whipped Saturday, the first of August. Jennifer Gray Thompson can empathize. She lost her northern California home to wildfire in 2017. It inspired her to create an organization called After the Fire USA. She spoke with SPR’s Doug Nadvornick.
