SPOKANE, Wash. — Mayor Lisa Brown announced a new internal work group after the city adopted a one-year moratorium on new data center building permit applications.
The city said the pause covered the acceptance, processing, review and approval of permits for new data centers. It said the break was meant to give Spokane time to study whether and how those facilities should be sited in the city.
