Autumn Lane Fire: ‘Operation Llama Lasso’ successful for woman returning home after evacuation

NINE MILE FALLS, Wash. – A llama owner returned from Hawaii and found her three animals back home after they were intentionally set free as the flames from the Autumn Lane fire lingered nearby on Saturday near Suncrest.

Milhea Frey said her home was evacuated Saturday night while she was in Hawaii. Even from far away, she kept tabs on what was happening back home. Sunday night, a few friends saw NonStop Local’s Cory Howard’s coverage of the fire, where he pointed out that three llamas were running loose in the area.
