Ongoing investigation in Spokane Valley nuisance home leads to arrests

SPOKANE VALLEY, Wash. — Two people were arrested for multiple charges in Spokane Valley last week following an ongoing investigation at a nuisance home.

According to the Spokane County Sheriff’s Office (SCSO), The Spokane Valley Investigative Unit was seeking a search warrant for a nuisance home on South Kahuna Drive near South Carnahan Road.

SCSO says from November 13, 2023 to January 13, 2024, SCSO got over 35 calls for service related to the home.

SCSO says the main problem stems from the two suspects living in the home: 27-year-old Alonzo C. Favel and 34-year-old Kaycee L. Wayne. SCSO says Wayne claimed she was buying the house from the owner, where Wayne and Favel both established residency at the home.

Deputies were unable to find the actual homeowner, with SCSO saying the homeowner had been out of the country for a long time.

Deputies continued work with neighbors and eventually established probable cause to obtain a search warrant for the home.

SCSO says Wayne had a Snoqualmie Police Department warrant for operating a vehicle without an interlock device, as well as another one in Upper Kittitas for f ailure to appear on a driving while suspended and operating a vehicle without an interlock device warrant. SCSO says Wayne was previously convicted of second-degree unlawful possession of a firearm and second-degree introducing contraband.
