Spokane Valley crash lands 2 motorcycle riders in jail

SPOKANE VALLEY, Wash. — Two motorcycle riders were arrested April 21 after they crashed into each other while fleeing Spokane Valley Police, Spokane County Sheriff’s Office (SCSO) said in a release.

According to the department, a deputy on a marked police motorcycle first saw a large group of sport-style motorcycles on Sprague Avenue at Dishman Road at about 7:50 p.m. SCSO said several riders appeared to race and reached an estimated 90 to 100 mph in a 35 mph zone.

Police said the group later stopped at a red light at Park Road. When the deputy moved in for a traffic stop, some riders sped off west on Sprague Avenue while others turned north on Park Road…
